CRCC Shortlisted For Charity Times Award
01.07.25
We are delighted to announce that CRCC has been nominated for the Charity Sustainability Charity Times Award for Clean Cornwall.
Clean Cornwall is an environmental project that has been working with communities for more than 15 years to tackle the issue of litter and waste in Cornwall.
The objectives of Clean Cornwall are broad, with a focus on waste reduction, public education, and community empowerment. The programme works to reduce litter, increase recycling rates, and build environmental responsibility. By educating the public on sustainable practices and responsible waste management, Clean Cornwall helps people take personal responsibility for their environment.
Since its inception, Clean Cornwall has made a significant impact. Over the past year, it has organised more than 200 litter pick events, removing several tonnes of waste from Cornwall’s streets, beaches, and natural spaces. In 2025 alone, over 3,180 volunteers have registered and over 1,250 bin bags of rubbish have been removed from our environment. The initiative has successfully brought together a wide range of volunteers, demonstrating the power of collective action.
